So I got an early 80's Carvin x100b head last week and I am really pleased with it, just need to get tubes/bias etc. I went online lookin for a footswitch and they're are 2 on ebay for $80!! Well I def don't wanna spend that so I emailed Carvin and they sent me a schematic to mod a carvin fs22 into the original fs36. Ive never done a mod like this and honestly just recently started learning about gear. Can anyone help me understand what I'm supposed to do and/or know of anyone who makes boutique footswitches? heres the schematic

If you look up any website explaining technical diagrams, learn the meanings of the symols displayed, then open up the footswitch you wish to mod, compare the symbols to componants.

Though, if you don't ahve tools and have no clue what you're doing, get your dad/buddy's dad/local electrition/guitar store to just do it for you. :)

you can make your own simple short to groun switch usin three stomp switches..even easier if you dont need the indicator LED. The thing is to build it you might spend more than the 80 you can get one for on ebay or carvin site.. ? ? ?

cord 10 15 bucks
3 switches(expensive little guys like 6 to 10 each
housing 15 20 bucks

well maybe a little less. factor in the aggrevation. 80 looks good to me.
