Since I have decided to just upgrade my squier strat. I thought of some pickups to put into it.

Neck: Dimarzio cruiser

middle: ? (help me out on this one)

Bridge: Dimarzio Chopper

Do you all think that this would have gorgeous cleans, along with some deep screamin' blues power?

Bump

Body is alder as well

neck is maple, with rosewood fretboard. That any help?

If you're main concern is a great clean tone, I would stick with single coils. The Quarter Pound strat pickups I mentioned earlier are REALLY hot for single coils though. I really like them. I have a set of Rio Grande single coils in my Carvin that I like alot too. If you go with single sized humbuckers, or any humbuckers for that matter, your clean tones will start to suffer imho.

what about the chopper or fast track 2 paired with the cruiser (bridge style) in neck?

I guess it depends on the tone you're going for. Those are not bad pickups, but they don't sound like single coils.

I used DiMarzio Blue Velvets in the mid and front position. I got a really nice clean tone. I did not have them in a strat though. I had them in my Yamaha that is kind of like a RG but better IMO.
