For fun thread: If you had a limit of 5 grand...?

To the OP, I find myself in this position quite often

And for the next $5K I'm planning on blowing? Probably get myself a minty 90s R9 or LPC '68

If there were any leftover funds, I'd head over to Strymon online :D

Done.

[rather amazing how fast five thousand dollars can get burned on a forum like this]

something from brj.....maybe a 7 string.

a stock 6534 so i could EvilEye mod it with the left over.

I'd be hunting for some old BCR Mockingbirds late 70s or early 80s.

Steve

That's killer, first time I've seen that

Even though, to me, $5000 is a ton of money, I can't afford what I want right now

So, with that said and 'only' $5000 to spend. I would pick:

Friedman Pink Taco
Luxxtone El Machette 22

I'd never spend 5K on a guitar unless I could resell the thing and make a substantial profit

That being said, I'd rather custom build my own off parts at 1K per guitar

I'd buy my Warmoth strat build I've been thinking about for the past year, a Royer R-121, a Bogner 4-12, and a Fuchs Blackjack MKII.

If I absolutely had to spend 5 grand on a guitar, I'd add a few bucks and get a Froggy Bottom acoustic.

Last month I finally bought my number 1 most wanted; 2009 ESP Ouija. :)

I'd either get in line for a Ken Lawrence or fire up another ground up Custom with Gary Hines.

As good of a LP replica as I can get for 5 grand. That or a very nice R9.

Suhr Mahogany Deluxe.

Pretty much the most stunning looking guitar i've ever laid my eyes on.
