Fortin Bones Clip!

I listened to the whole thing. I have never listened to 11 minutes of any amp before. Sounds killer. First time I've heard the Bones with that kind of gain. I never heard you say you had the gain more than 12:30. Is this correct? How did you mic this clip? Man that sounded so deliciously grindy and clear.

I may have had it up to 1:30 on the gain for some of the clip but the majority was around 12:30. As a wav file it sounded much better before the conversion to mp3 really squashed it but the file was huge. Bear in mind I still had a ton of bottom and a shit pile of volume left in it. I used a zoom H2 to record it and this was without any editing whatsoever. Thanks

You are losing out if that is your standard for comparing imo, you have to be in a room and listen to the others side by side to really hear what is happening. The shoot-out is very cool to hear the voicings but in the room when the volumes start to get up there is when Fortin's stuff start to really shine. When stuff starts to mud out and peak Mike's stuff just keep s going and that is why his stuff may cost a bit more.

+100000000 Me and a buddy tried turning the Volume all the way up on my Bones and are fucking legs gave out about 2:30 3.The fucker was shinning and you can ask the whole neighborhood I thought the cab was gonna come apart

Thanks alot man and yours as well! Its a good thing i couldnt swing a meathead because i'd be playing with those knobs forever! LOL! As much as i like what ive heard from the natas i think the bones is just what I needed, Then again im a very simple plug and play guy. No doubt the FORTIN's are my FAV!!!

I'm a bit taken aback here though, 'cuz I've never heard any other Bones clip that came close to that degree of gain/heaviness/onslaught. It sounds a lot like a couple of Natas clips floating around on YT. What gives here?? Anyone else agree or have I just missed all the other clips that are as heavy-sounding as this?

Well this is exactly why I made this clip. I felt the amp had it but I had not heard any really heavy clips myself so that was indeed my goal. You should have heard it before it was compressed, WOW!!! Remember too that speaker cab/speakers/pups/etc.... all play a part as well. Les paul's make everything sound better. THANKS GLAD YOU ENJOYED IT!

Well im running the bones in stereowith with the DSL and the koko makes that amp insane so neither is going anywhere. When you find one don't hesitate, its the best pedal I've owned!
