chime in and tell me about your fortin cali

what features are on it.

what do you like.

what dont you like.

what do you wish it had, that it doesnt already have.

If you sold it, why.

If you sold others things to get it, then what did you sell?

I only ask because I just traded bionicmark for his and I am snooping for more information!

thanks in advance.

Oh , i dont mind pics either!

My cali is a 50 watt metro. Earlier cali, no thump or hair controls. I love it. Only thing I would change is the tight switch is a bit excessive maybe dial that back a bit. Lots of good tones in the cali. Loves v30's.

had a super cali mod 100w, bought off this forum - the mod work was done by Dan over here in the EU, great guy to deal with i'll add

fantastic sounding amp with all sorts of great tones in it, as i switch tones a fair amount i prefer to do this via footswitching, and my other rig worked better within the band for that, i sold it to recoup funds towards other stuff (be it guitar/pedals etc..) otherwise i would have definitely kept it

probably one the heaviest sounding amps i've heard when dialed in, crushing thick gain, very awesome but also does everything in between

i'd say the only thing that it lacks is a footswitchable clean channel (you can set it up clean but the footswitching options are somewhat limited)

if you're into marshall tones you'll be in heaven, it's a solid great sounding marshall which are not always easy to come by // sorry for the blurry pic it's the only one i could find that i uploaded somewhere

I've got one Mike did for me recently, its a Cali++ with an added switchable 3rd drive control and tube gain stage. It has 3 position bright switches for the first two drives, a 3 position saturation switch that uses two different sets of clipping diodes, a depth control, a pull tight on drive 2, a raw/ smooth switch. It has an external bias control, and will run any octal-based output tubes you choose. Very cool amp, it will get a ton of great tones, and will do low to med gain stuff well too. I will never sell this amp, I love it!

thanks to all for posting.

man, he sure does have a lot of tone shaping options.

If I were to get a new one, i dont think i would know where to begin!

All I can say is I love mine. I will be going on two years and I have had no amp GAS whatsoever. Scott called it in one of my other threads. I have found all what I want in this amp. Love my guitars too. In fact, all I GAS for are new guitars but that GAS is very much under control. I have noticed that as I get older my gear flipping days are behind me. I just acquire items now. I have posted so many clips over the past years. Search my used name and you will find them.

You begin with all of them, and subtract as your wallet tells you to
I should have got a loop put in mine ;)

Everything aside from a mid scoop and a clean channel.

what do you like.

It has more headroom than any amp I've ever heard. Be prepared. It's also super aggressive, but can be dialed back, and can do all the classic plexi tones.

what dont you like.

That I had to sell it to fund my live rig.

what do you wish it had, that it doesnt already have.

An effects loop and clean channel would have been nice, as well as a built in attenuator, but the latter is asking too much ;)

If you sold it, why.

To fund my live rig, because the amp holds value and is a one off.

If you sold others things to get it, then what did you sell?

I sold my Friedman modded Windsor and my FJA Modded Penta.

I only ask because I just traded bionicmark for his and I am snooping for more information!

You're in for a ride with my old amp!

thanks in advance.
