Fortin JCM 800 mod

Hey y'all, I was wondering if anybody has heard any of the JCM800 Fortin mods in person. I'm debating on whether to get the Cali or Hulk, and I'm leaning toward the Cali cause I'm going after the closest to the Jose mod I can get. Experience? Opinions? Any would be appreciated! Eric

The Cali is what you want if you're after that Jose modded Marshall tone

Once you get it, I would be inerested in comparing it to my Suhr Modded Marshall. I work in Irving. If it is close to the Jose, I would get one.

My modded JCM800 in my sig is based around the Cali Mod, Mike Fortin and I worked together on the design for my amp. From the clips i have heard of the Suhr modded Marshalls, it sounds a lot different IMO. Definitely different in the midrange compared to the Suhr mods. The Cali Mod can cop the Jose mod tone very well!

You need one of each IMO Both are different to one another, but both sound killer!!

The hulk was the only 800 I heard and you would want the cali if you are chasing Jose.

Danyeo has an early 80s 800 at Mike's right now getting the cali mod, I am sure he will make some type of clip when he gets it.

Mike will be doing the Cali mod on my purple JMP. Coming up on 4 weeks. Can't wait to get this monster back!
