Hey guys

I bought a "Canadian" JCM 800 and had Mike Fortin of http://www.fortinamps.com modify the snot out of it.
It's truly fuckin Magic!

Here is a short video clip of Dave from "The Salads" playing it, he is using a Yamaha guitar and an Avatar 4x12.

Mike asked me what I was looking for, I wanted something that all the previous amps I had was lacking, don't we all.
Well in the process of Mike doing the mod for me he went on vacation and didn't want to rush the job, How awesome is that?!? So while he was going to be away he loaned me one of his Bones amps, the prototype to be exact and fitted it with 6550's and EL34's so I could get a feel for how the HULK 800 would be and let me tell you, the Bones amp is so amazing that I'm ordering one as soon as I can afford to do so, The amps Mike makes are so close to perfect that I can just say that they are perfect! I was right at home with the Bones so I was of course eagerly awaiting the Marshall to come back. I wanted to be able to reach tones from Carcass to Pantera to Morbid Angel all in one box with no external EQ's and I can honestly say this amp does it. With my different guitars it really highlights the differences between them, and this is just a Marshall Mod!!! Wait until you guys get a chance to play a Bones for yourself, alot of the clips while were awesome in thier own right did not suit my playing style or tone I was looking for so I was a bit unsure at first, but let me tell you this, Mike is capable of anything! ANYTHING! you guys all owe yourselves a chance to get a Marshall modified or to buy one of Mike's production amps.

When I went to pickup the 800 the hospitality didn't stop there! I got to see all his current prototypes in the works and let me tell you these amps will be truly what everyone is looking for!

I'm going to get all of Mike's amps eventually, and probably get another 800 modified with maybe a darker feel, but this amp that I got has such an amazing tight responce it's UNREAL but it's not unforgiving eaither! It's so hard to explain you just have to play it for yourself!

If there is anyone that is local to me if you are wanting to check out Mike's mod capabilities and perhaps my Bones when I get it, we can set something up at a local studio, you will be amazed! you will be wowed! and your cheque book will hurt!

Thanks Mike! For Everything!

PEACE!

awsome that sounded nice and tight. Mike is a great dude and i to hope to own a piece of his work sometime very soon!

enjoy that amp!

That is a wicked good metal sound. Can it do a more classic rock sound aswell?

That amp sounds fuckin LETHAL!!!

Mike ROCKS!!

He has the ears as well as the knowledge, so he knows how to achieve pretty much any sound/feel... The Bones has already proven this and the Bones is only the beginning of Mike's ampline :D

Rock on!!! :rawk:

My plexi has been with Mike as of last Friday for his Jose-type mod.
I can't wait to get it back!

Sounds great!!!

Now, what's up with leaving 2 knobs at zero? Use all the knobs or get a beating :gethim: :D

I cannot say enough great things about Mike as a person and an amp builder. His amps and his mod work KILL!!. The great thing about Mike is that not only does he get his own unique signature sound out of his amps but he possesses the ability to get people the sounds or tones that they hear in there head through his mod work, which is pretty amazing IMHO.
I think that amp sounds killer and I can't wait to get my amp done.
There's some killer stuff comming my way from Mike and I can't wait!! HE RULES!!

WHAAAAAAATTTT !!!!!!!!!!!

I can't believe how awesome it is. there's something very cool in the voicing which reminds me some clips of the dino939 also. (fuck i can't find the clips anymore maybe they were removed)

I sure gotta have to find time to go try his stuff

Hey guys

wait until you hear some of my clips! you'll get to hear the full picture, and yes this amp CAN get a slightly less metal tone for the guys asking, this amp however was something I've always been looking for in a Metal amp, a serious metal amp.
I got a chance to play Mike's Dino 939 and it's an awesome amp, totally amazing! I would buy one, however after playing it and having the bones for the better part of 2 weeks, I would still take my amp and a Bones and the coming Natas over it, not just because of price, but I really think Mike's stuff is just out of this world!

Anyhow more clips to come, and the two controls that were at zero in that pic are the master volumes! hahaha I just turned it down to take the pics!
The thing is a raging fucking MONSTER!
