I need input from guys thats owned or heard both builders extensively. I have the Bones and can honestly say that it is my favorite amp to date(long list)! The thing is i have a DSL as well which boosted with the suhr koko boost sounds really good as well. Im running the 2 in stereo and together it is sonic nirvana but running a dual amp setup is the FUCKING BIGGEST PAIN IN MY ASS! I purchased a G major 2 to run in the DSL loop for a wet/dry setup for ultimate flexibility.
Ok here is the problem. The bones does not have a dedicated clean channel and i use clean some, not a lot but is still a requirement. As far as heavies and dynamics I love the Fortin I think mainly due to how articulate it is but still in a natural way thats still in a marshall type overall sound however without the DSL it seems like a little something is missing besides a clean channel. Its something about Marshall(even a DSL) that has a mid type spread that fills in the dead spots so running both has been a treat and a curse.
I have had ground loops and phasing issues from day one and when i finally thought i had it straight with just a few pedals and a switcher, I went and sold off the pedals for an all in one(gmajor 2) to eliminate cables and trouble spots and im back with the same problems again.. major phasing issues! Im already running a Y-not with no success.
Im wondering if one amp posdibly the cameron CCV COULD Suit my needs? Im so fucking tired of trying to make 2 amps work together and really want to play more instead of constantly hooking/unhooking gear. I love the marshall sound but really love the Fortins clarity so how would a CCV fit into the equation?
Sorry this is so long but im stumped!!
