A truly rare, unique, one off amp here. If it sells cool I can find some new stuff to profile
If it doesn’t sell also cool because I don’t want to really sell it but I have to be a responsible business man to a certain point. Open to trades on equally rare crazy silly amps or specifically a Wizard Hell Razer with some big glass power section. Would have to be meet in New England area for trades.
That said this is the first prototype build Mike Fortin had out there and released to an artist he worked with, Carl Roa. It is not as high gain as the current modern production releases Fortin has put out. It’s also actually built by Mike unlike those releases. Still has that tasty good Fortin style tone but more manageable gain levels. gain level is more like a Bogner XTC than A modern metal amp. However with a boost pedal it hits that territory easy. cleans are also awesome on this amp.
Mike rebuilt the amp fully, the JCM 800 donor looks to me from the late 80s and the head shell, chassis, transformers/power section look to be the only parts not replaced. The preamp is not a mod but it is a full rebuild.
$5k shipped
Due to price/value/rarity on this I would have UPS pack and ship this with their insurance.
