I've always felt the MK1 setting was the sleeper metal setting on the V and tonight I had the bright idea of using a graphic EQ (MXR 10 band) in the front to just clear a little low end going in to tighten it up and bingo I got the best approximation of MOP I think I have out of the amp. Big caveat of speaker choices, pickups etc. I'm using a 2005 Flying V with an old Dimarzio super distortion in it. I also had it on Variac which to me sweetened the top end without losing punch. Diode choice on the rec. Here are some pics of my settings. Sorry no clip, as of yet, as it's late and my phone wouldn't capture it worth a damn anyway. Any 80's Met fans with the Mark V let me know if it floats your boat.

As you can see it's "barely on" :D

That's some severe bass roll off. I don't know why Boogie let that Mark1 sound out of the factory. WAYYY to much bass in that mode. Sounds nothing like my original Mark1 combo w/EV.

There's nothing about the MK I setting on the V that resembles any MK 1 I've played but I'm glad they made it the way they did. The rolloff isn't that severe though. It probably has no effect on a guitar signal, cutting anything below 100Hz but I just simulated a high pass shelf. 125 is probably only cut 3 dB or so.
