Search JDinSC on youtube for my videos. Its a similar circuit to a Soldano, but that's just what I have read via. The forum. They have three DISTINCTLY different channels. A warm chimey clean, an in your face punchy crunch and a modern compressed sounding lead channel. I would recommend a cab a little on the side of bright as they are naturally a darker sounding head and they take a little tweaking to find the sweet spot. Remember that your FX mix has to stay upright at noon, or it drastically affects the amp as well. They also LOVE volume. Mine sounds like two different amps at bedroom volume vs stage volume. It doesn't sound bad low, it just exponentially improves as you push it. They are also relatively sensative to good tubes. My =C= SED EL34s rip with good Ruby pre amp tubes in V1 and V2 with Chinese (JJ) in V3 through V5. Mine loves a boost to tighten it up for modern stuff and wails unboosted for classic rock tones.
Hope all that helps
