Been falling back in-love with my Eleven Rack again as of late. Still prefer my XTC or Ultra Lead for live stuff, but I wouldn't mind having a nice setup for the 11R in case I decided to try it live. Before I couldn't get past the hi-fi qualities of the direct sound, choosing instead to run the 11R into my Rocktron Velocity 300 SS power amp (2U) and then powering a Marshall 1960B cab in stereo. But lately, I've been runing the 11R into my cheap powered 15" + horn PA cab and I really dig it for a good imitation of my tube amps. So I'm once again thinking about going with a single QSC K10 or K12 cab for starters, and adding another later-on for stereo. I know that a lot of guys are using the K10s for FRFR... but I can't help but be stuck in my rut of thinking that guitar amp sounds are supposed to be run through 12" speakers. I realize that a PA cab is a different beast than a guitar cab though. But I have no way to try both out before buying. Would I be giving up much girth/bottom end by choosing the K10 instead of the K12?

My buddy has an Axe-Fx ultra and has a pair of K12's and a pair of K10's. He either likes two K10's or one K12. He wasn't thrilled with just one K10, but I can't remember exactly why.

If it were me I would go with the K12 as it has more uses besides this setup and would make a nice monitor or main speaker. The K10's for mains, not so much...

Yeah... I was thinking the same thing. K10 would be good for a studio monitor or some small acoustic/singer PA and that's about it I would think.
