Nice Amps guys. I have a rackmount Mark IV rev B. from the mid 90's, i'll have to take some pics of it soon... also a recto cab to go along with it. The tone in my head has been accomplished with this particular amp and I've been through a lot.

This mark 3++ green stripe was a rackmount I bought that sounded horrible like a fuzz box explosion. I had mike b redo the whole thing and do the mods and a new wicker shell . It’s like brand new now .

Kind of like a cross between a jcm800 and a recto, for lack of a better way to describe it. Dry, tight, super aggressive, very pronounced upper mids, and huge low end. Really finicky when it comes to what guitar, pickup, speakers, etc. you run it with. Not a great home use amp at all, it's gotta be cranked a bit to sound good.
I bought it new in 04 or 05.

How does the mini recto compare to that mark V?
I really love my mark V 25 for home use. I remember demo'ing a mini recto a while back and being pretty impressed. I've thought about picking one up.
