I've been playing my BE100 through a Marshall 1960ax with greenbacks. I really like the tone of the greenbacks, but they lack some punch and low end tightness. Does the addition of the two V30s in the Friedman cab tighten it up and add the punch and tighter bass I'm after? If so, I might have to get one.

Yes it adds more punch for sure. Not as much as a all v30 cab though. It's a great cross between the cabs.

I've always been a bit wary of mixing speakers with differing DB ratings. In this case the V30 is 100db and the Greenback 98db.

2 is a small number but from experience, when you put db after it (i.e. 2db) it is noticeable. I'm wondering how much of the Greenbacks you actually hear?

Can anyone put my mind at ease?
