The Khed is on a roll dude!

This time, thanks to our boy Stein, it is the BE-OD! I know, I know, exactly what the world needs. ANOTHER BE-OD vid!

Used the Quilter 101, Crate G12K-100 loaded cab and PRS SC245. Same poopy hat as well! Also, in case you didn't notice, in both vids I AM in fact wearing my Star Wars Galactic Empire PJ pants!

Here's the "In Room" capture. Trying to see if there is any value in this type of vid. No talking, just raw tones...

killer hat and demo......
Thank you Sir! Not sure if you are familiar but I used the Quilter 101 mini head for this. It is a little solid state amp and man it is a MONSTAH!!! I was so surprised. If you listen to the "camera audio" vid, the amp and the crappy little Crate 1x12 sounds YUGE!

Bang for the buck tough to beat those sounds. Nice work!

that's a killer little rig....
Thanks! I bought the Quilter and this little cab as I was REALLY trying to reduce the size of my Kemper rig live. I was using the Power Station and Splawn 2x12 but that was still a LOT of extra lbs to lug! The Crate cab was worth the $65 alone! Tried the EH 44 Magnum but hated it. Tried the Quilter on a whim and LOVE it.

I think there's a ton of value in the "in the room" type of video...that sounds fantastic! Great job!

What model is that 1x12?
I believe it's the GT112SL. Killer little cab.

Cool! Thanks for checking it out. I keep seeing a lot of stuff out there about what folks do/don't like about demos and some guys seem to really want to hear the in-room stuff as LONG as the amp is louder than the strings being plucked!

For me, unless you're mimicking a top shelf mic setup, and using board eq, (close mic'd, room mic, etc.) in the room is a more accurate representation of the actual amp sound; not to mention that the vast majority of people aren't recording on a regular basis.

I'd like to hear that type of demo for the Bottle Rocket (although mine should be here tomorrow). :D

great demo!
Thanks man! Which version did you prefer?

Also, I hate to be that guy but I would REALLY appreciate it if you'd all subscribe if you haven't yet. Really trying to get this channel growing. Need at least 100 subs to get a proper channel URL.

these demos sold me.
sounds like a nice articulate pedal that actually doesnt sound annoying when shredded through.

Both demos actually too...nice to have the 2 angles ;)

Yeah it's a killer pedal for sure. Didn't clean up super well on my bridge pickup but was solid on the neck. After having a month or so with the Butterslax, I can say the pedal feels VERY Friedman amp-like. Especially with such a pedestrian rig.

Glad you dug the vids!

I find that pedal is sorely lacking a MIDS knob! The one I had (and sold right away) was way bright, and didn't have the punch of a real amp (lacking mids).

Are those your setting on the Quilter 101 for the BEOD demos ?

Indeed they are the settings. I used that same setting for powering my Kemper as well.

what did you run it through? I have the setup in this demo, but I use it in front of my fuchs ODS ORM combo and it has plenty of mids...It might depend on what you ran it through?
