Well if you can get a '15 at a good price you can always update it if you think it's necessary.
 
Like they said. I'd get the newer one if possible. But it is very similar to the old one. However if the difference in $$$ is big get the cheapest one
 
From what I've heard and seen the 2016 offers a low gain mode, and the gain overall is less compressed and brighter. I'm already running my 2015 with the bass up, I don't want the amp any brighter so I'll be sticking with my late 2015 the way it is.
 
I have a '14 BE, and have ZERO interest in sending it in for updates. Sounds great. I also like the fact that mine will sound different then the new ones that flood the market. I prefer early JCM 800's as well...
 
...and next year people will be comparing the 2017 vs 2016 models. :lol: :LOL:

Can really keep some on a fairly continuous buy/sell cycle if they need to have the latest updates/features...
 
And don't forget about the stores who have stock in the previous version but can't sell them. :scared:
 
The one I played at The Music Zoo had to be a '15 or even '14. I can't imagine changing a single thing on it.
