I received my brand new 2017 Friedman BE100 a couple weeks ago and am loving it. I know it's been said a lot before but it's possibly the best amp I have ever owned. Love it.
I have a question regarding the clean channel. Is it normal for the Bass and Treble knobs for the clean channel to sort of act like volume knobs?? For example, when I crank the treble knob to 10, it's like turning the volume down to 0. With the treble knob actually at 0 it does nothing. The bass knob at 10 just increases volume. At 0 the bass knob lowers the volume to whisper levels. Neither of the knobs seem to add treble or bass. It just changes the volume of the clean channel. Is this by design or do I have a clean channel that's possibly wired wrong?? Thankfully, with both the bass and treble at 12 o'clock I have a great clean sound.
