Sharing a drumjam I did the other night. First time recording with my DS40, came out ok. I like the way this amp sags

Thanks dude, much appreciatedMrDowntown":2o74apgi said:nice man. i listened whilst not working...
your vids/tracks are really good...i dig'em!
I really like my DS. Channel one of my butterslax comes kind of close to it but lacks that sag and thickness. All AC/DC riffs sound so legit on this thing its not even funny.JerEvil":2o74apgi said:Love it man! I miss my DS...

Is it just a lower gain version of the BE100 or a more vintage plexi type low wattage version? Dave never really explained the nuances of the Dirty Shirley. What tubes is it running, two EL-34's?
The mini does sound close to it. In fact I was going to pickup the mini originally but a fellow RT'er sold me his 5 month old DS locally with a custom "butterslax" headshell for 2k. I couldn't pass that up.Rdodson":2o74apgi said:It is less tight, but less restrained. While it is a little bit saggy, it isn't a Tweed!
Think the best JTM45 you ever played with enough gain to do whatever you want. So, Disraeli Gears (Cream), Fair Warning/1984, Eric Johnson...that kind of thing.
I'm playing a DS mini here, but they sound pretty close recorded:
