That is my major issue, the pricing. I didn't realize Friedman was charging that much until recently. Add in the fact that Friedman doesn't like to allow discounts off MAP these days and IMO they are majorly overpriced.

I got this back in 99' from the old Daddys Junky Music for $300 bucks, threw in a EMG-81 and voila'.

Dave did me right with the KS JMP mods but i believe his guitar price-points are for the guys that have one of everything.

I think I paid $300 for my bass, too. If I recall correctly, I got it from Galaxy Music in Stone Mountain, GA. I put EMG's in it, too.

Can't say I totally disagree with the price-point issue...but then again, it's probably because I can't afford it right now anyway. But also, I don't think I'd shell out that sort of dough for a competitively set up Gibson either.

On another note, I love that color red w/that RW fretboard-Pretty classic.
