hits tomorrow - off Friday, can't wait to play this thing. I played on in Guitar Center a couple months back and it sounded unbelievably good. I was contemplating getting another Bogner Twin Jet (which they also had) so I played them back to back. I couldn't believe how clear and punishing the JJ sounded. To my ears it's like playing the best sounding Uberschall - Mesa Recto - and Modded Marshall all rolled into one. The pick attack and low end thump put a smile on my face and there was a guy in the room where I played it that was smiling as big as I was, we were both like "can you believe this thing?"

carry on...

CONGRATS!!!

You will have major wood...

Was cranking my JJ this morning and it was the shit...

Using a boost and my EMG loaded MH400 it was brutal!

I'm a big believer in using the Friedman cabs with the Friedman heads... every time I plug one of my Friedmans into my bogner cab it lasts 5 min before runing it back into the Friedman 4x12...

I have a straight Helios cab V30/GB 25's
or I have a stock Uberkab or my V30/Scumback J75 loaded Uberkab...should be fun
or 2 of them at the same time

Will be tough as my MCII like that cab. I am going to run the Wizard on the V30/J cab for a while and see which one matches best. Funny, my Triple Rec likes the stock Uberkab and the J cab...but the Wizard is a little more picky. I really don't wanna start messing with speakers/cabs again. Hoping the JJ likes all my cabs.

Dude...you flip amps with the best of em....hahaha

Yes - I am often a little fickle if I get an amp and it's not as good as _______ amp. I think the ones that I have will stay for a while, as they sound killer. Mesa Triple sounds huge, Wizard pushes air like crazy and cuts big time. JJ I hope is that Uber/Marshall mix Jerry used to use.

I have seen many come and go that's for sure - most of them were killer, just wanted a different flavor, or wasn't what I had in mind at that moment. Some amps I've owned multiple times over. :aww:

congrats

i have a wizard mtl and a JJ too, and a SLO, and VH4.

i think that I am good in the high gain department

Which GC was it at? The one on Westheimer?
yes - I played a white one into a white Friedman cab

Cool! I haven't been by there in a while. I think my wife would kill me if I brought home a new amp in the next 6 months. We have a little boy on the way that will probably be here mid-June. She is about to pop! LOL!

Definitely looking for a review from you on the JJ. It's an amp that is on "my list".

I will do my best to give my impressions of it (not that those matter - or are probably much different than everyone elses take on it).

I hope to get a chance to make a video if the house is empty Friday

Kick everyone out of the house for the day. If you ever want to move an ubercab? Let me know  !

Funny ,, we have much the same amps. I love the JJ, and I love my MC2. The clean on the JJ is really cool. Very Ac30ish. If your like me, the switch on the back of the JJ is gonna have you thinking things about running an overdrive into it, kinda like with the MC2. The the switch on for max gain, it's really cool, although kinda looses a little mojo for me. Volume drops a little as can be expected. Really heavy sound. Can cover anything in the heavy metal genre without blinking an eye.
With the switch off is where this baby really shines in my book, but you'll probably be wishing she had just a touch more gain. Enter your OD pedal of choice. It's how I run mine Mose of the time. Plus when I play out, it gives me another option for tunes that don't need gobs of gain. Just a thought for you to try. I love the sound of the amp with the switch off and boosted up front a little. If you get a chance, run the Mc2 and JJ together. Impractical for live situations, but wow, the sonic bliss dude!!!

A friend of mine had a new version of the BE100 and I played it through my cabs - vs my amps, and the BE didn't have much thump compared to my Splawn or Triple Rec. I then played the JJ a week or so later and was blown away how good it sounded...course maybe the Fridaman cab helped...but my Uberkabs have a variety of speakers in them so I doubt that was the issue. My Helios cab has the V30 on bottom GB25 on top like Dave's cabs...so I am thinking it will have that big low end. Needless to say - the BE setting on the JJ seemed to be ballsier than the stock BE

The JJ really does need the matching friedman cab to really show its full potential, already owning 4 cabs I tried to fight this reality but as soon as I played my JJ through the friedman cab I quickly heard what everyone was telling me.
