I understood they were always intended to be released in small batches, each one hand made by Dave. We’ll see how long he can keep that up, but I’m definitely keen to try one, and I would think they’ll hold their value on the used market if it doesn’t work out.

Yeah I think this is a lot of it, to be honest. Dave tried to emphasize multiple times that he was going to be personally involved with making these, more than any of this other amps, so it was just gonna take a long time.

I wish he'd do the big reveal and feature walk-through video he talked about though. It would be cool to get a full picture of what the amp will be about.

What I really want to know, when the Jose is switched off, how good of a 100w Plexi is it?

I used to own a Friedman modded Plexi that he made sound just like his '68 (and now the Plex) and I completely regret selling it since all the other Plexi's I've bought just couldn't measure up.

I think this is the #1 question I've seen asked about the amp. Is it a 1:1 plexi with a whole bunch of mods that can be engaged to morph the amp into something else entirely, or is it being built from the ground up as its own thing?
