Friedman Kudos and Love

Not the first to sing the praises of Dave Friedman but the first time I have felt the urge to publicly talk up an amp or amps. I have played/owned a lot of amps. List is long...Then I bought an SS-100....Thick and chewy plexi tones...Great clean...Then I bought a JJ-100...AIC tones. More modern tone in JBE with the same great BE...Another great clean channel different than the SS....Then I bought a BE-100...Versatile gain with BE/HBE and a more options than Batman's utility belt. Oh yeah...Another great clean channel. Keeping all three...

Then I sent the JJ in to Dave for a tweak. Added JBE master on the front and variable resonance on the back with JBE added to the footswitch. Greatness if you like switching between BE and JBE on the fly....

I think most folks know Dave is a guru of amp tone but he's also a pretty decent guy to deal with if you ever have issues or want to add colors to the amp palette. Thanks Dave...

PS. Forgot to mention I just bought a Dirty Shirley....
 
Yes I have to say for being a one-two man show (think it's only Dave & Rob) replying to emails and customer service, they do a fine job in the end. Even after having to send my amp back and forth over a 7-8 week period, in the end Friedman delivered. Dave might be busy and a man of few words in email but he really does stand behind his products and seemed to do whatever it takes to satisfy his clients. .

Where's Dave put the JBE Master? I have another acquaintance with the resonance mod...
I may have to road trip down! to see Dave... ;)
 
See pics. Standard footswitch as delivered with the BE and SS...Depth on back = resonance. From what I understand the resonance circuit exists on the stock JJ at a predetermined fixed position. Nice to have variable for lower volumes. Sitting on a pair of Scumback naked 69's. Shirley is hanging out with a KSR Artemis on a pair of Marshall 1960 BHW's loaded with Greens over V30s.. I'll second that. I've sent Dave a bunch of questions here and via email and he has always been helpful and quick to respond.

I have to chime in too. My customer service/support experience was excellent. Dave went above and beyond when working on my amp.

 
Hey Jo.. I love that board man. All the Strymon mod effects you could want with the DA controller and no drive pedals cause the amps do all that. Great board!

That's quite a handsome rig!!! Just got a be100,life is good!! Don't have the matching cab but I have a os mesa with v30s sounds really good.
