Howdy,
Sadly, I no longer own this amp. But I thought I'd post these for anyone who wanted to hear some more clips of Dave's modded Marshalls. This is a '78 100 watt Super Lead. I had Dave install the Brown Eye, C45, and add a Simple Clean channel. I wasn't going to post these because the amp ended up distorting my phone's mic. Even so, I think you can still tell how killer the amp sounds in the room. So...my apologies for the lack of recording quality.
-The first video is a really great example of what the simple clean sounds like. The Simple Clean feels and sounds very similar to what the amp was like before Dave modded it. I'm playing one of my band's tunes. The pedal is a Jack Deville Dark Echo. It is an amazing delay.
-The second video is the volume of the Simple Clean turned up to noon. I'm just noodling aimlessly, but it is a fantastic sounding and feeling bluesy tone. The amp breaks up just the right amount at this volume to really growl when you dig in. It sounds KILLER with a strat. Very Hendrix-esque Unfortunately, it begins to distort my iPhone's mic at this volume.
-The third video is the Brown Eye with the C45 switch engaged. Every knob is set at noon. I play a little VH and some King's X and some more aimless noodling with some big, open power chords. The iPhone is distorting pretty badly at this point and adding a considerable amount of sizzle that wasn't there in the room, but you can still hear how great the amp sounds.
