Friedman Pickups

I'll admit, I'm curious, too, but have no experience and don't know anyone who does

I had the Classic Plus, which sounded quite good. It's alnico though, so some people on here would be offended. It's very tight and articulate, but not super high gain. Would I buy it again though? No. But I would like to try the DDD.

Dave is a sonic avatar. That man knows tone. I haven't tried any of the Friedman pickups. Grover Jackson might have been involved with designing the Friedman pickups, but I don't know for sure.

I've had the classic+, classic, single coils and p90s. Never tried the ddd though.

Babmusic is on the money with his assessment. They are good pickups, all of them I've tried sound good. It's just a matter of if they have what you are after. They aren't high output, I found them best suited for rock and hard rock with a boost or maybe classic metal. The ddd is highest output and probably better if more modern and higher gain tones are desired.
