I ordered an frx Floyd to put on one of my Lpm les Paul's. Anyone install one yet?

I´ve yet to see anyone use it, so be sure to check back in with a review once you have it installed =)

I just got it will install in the next couple days. Looks solid

I put it on more or less 1 hour or more. So far so good. Still dialing it in. Im not a total floyd nut so I cant give in depth comparison. Its mostly for mild trem stuff and keeping a les paul in tune for live shows. It is bulky, I got a black one for red les paul lpm. Maybe I should have put it on a darker guitar so it didnt stick out as much. I would say dont put this on a expensive les paul as you have to screw 2 holes in headstock area to fasten locking nut there for these are for studios or below or epiphones IMO. Ill post pics and clips soon.

Well, the locking nut isn´t totally necessary (especially for mild stuff) even if most guys want it. For example Carvin never uses locking nuts with Floyds if left to their own devices, they go with locking tuners instead.

I wanted the nut for tuning stability. The new holes will be visible if I take it off and put truss rod cover back. It's all good it's a solid unit and now I have les Paul sound with less time between songs for tuning which is a buzz kill especially fronting a band

This thing is great after tweaking it more. I have it set for dives and pulls and now it feels magic. It has a feature which is a ball pivot that keeps it very lightly locked but also floating smoothly. You can bend a high string up and the low E doesn't go out of tune while bending.
