Those are beautiful. Do you build your own necks? Would be interested in discussing (do you use any graphite reinforcement? Over how long a period do you take to carve the neck and to radius the board?).

Send me a PM or email for more info but to keep it brief, earlier guitars used a different truss rod and on birdseye necks had carbon rods but over time things evolved and I switched rods and after more testing I no longer need the carbon rods. I'm not sure if they were ever really necessary to be honest, they certainly didn't hurt the necks that had them and the ones without were issue free too. It's more about good wood selection really. I was only using them for birdseye since it can be a bit unpredictable compared to something like roasted maple but no longer see the need for them so I stopped using them altogether. Had to dig through old pics to find it but this is DA.013s neck in the rough stages...

Could you do a 24 fret version of this guitar? Beautiful work !

Sorry but my 24 fret model was retired a while back and I'm only doing 22 fret versions of my 1981 shape and JD shape in either 25.5" or 24.75" scale options to keep things simple. I had way too many options going on in the past and just decided to trim that fat and stick to what I truly want to build.
