I call bullshit. The same day they made an announcement is the same day they were able to put together and air a CGI infested video (link below). Who put that together within a few hours of hearing the news? This video is reminiscent of NASA.

Think about this... other countries are working on this concept (let's see them produce more energy than they put in), and the US wanted to be the first. Hmmm... like going to the Moon.

Second, it's at least a decade away, which means they can lollygag and coast for some time.

Third, they now can pump billions into this project (while funneling a good chunk for the elite).

Fourth, this is done on Biden's watch, which means a plug for him (or the Dems) in the next election, although it still won't be available for years to come, if ever.

Fifth, it helps support the zero-carbon platform... of green(ish) energy. Consequently, just accept the current green bullshit because the savior (fusion) will be here eventually... the Gambler's Fallacy.

Putting less energy in than you get out?

Perpetual-motion-machine fallacy, breaking a law of thermodynamics.

Don't get me wrong; I'd like to see them succeed. So far they've produced enough energy to boil a couple 'o kettles...

yup-bullshit....energy recovery....the z-pinch reaction explanation.....you can't harvest them thar protons like they do in marvel movies....just need some magical HE3 from the moon to power the reactor in my ultra maga battlemech....WAKANDA FOREVER!!!!

'Scientists' (gov't) can't even grasp how destructive all the mining will be, in order to create electric cars very few can afford. And there needs to be another 350 lithium mines (something like that) in order to find enough minerals to create enough cars. Of course, that means only select people will get cars, whereas everyone else can walk or take transit.
