Congrats! I am trying to resist, love my 50W 2553 and don't need another, but there is nothing like the punch of a 100W amp. Big Iron for the win.

Dude,
I understand that they may have made way to many of these and need to move them, kinda hurts because I bout mine at 1400$ new/ open box a little over a year ago. You are in for a serious treat my friend. Best bang for the buck there is, and at this price, Wow! They typically come biased a bit cold from the factory so have it juiced up a tad, and you are good to go. The best 'bass, middle and treble' controls on any Marshall out there. And yes, put a good solid OD in front and you will have you some thrash in spades. This is a fantastic amp at an amazing price!
Good luck with it brother!

Damn.....

I just could not pass that up. Thanks!

When I get it I'll check to see what it is biased at. What do you recommend I bias to?

wow, that is a good deal. I've never looked into these much, but maybe I should.

There's a chart on the inside back of the chassis, with test points and bias dials so no need to take the chassis out. 70ma per pair is good. But, one of the really cool features is that you can put any combination of 2 pairs of octal tubes in it...so 2 34s, 2 6L6s. 2 KT88s, 2 KT66s. Pretty cool. Don't be afraid to run 2 pedals in front of it..I use an OD1X and an EQ pedal for some liquidy gain in front of my 1990 2555. Wow those prices are ridiculous..

I got mine last night... sounds great, instant def leppard right out of the box no pedals. Nice big transformers too.. not like the DSL or 900's. I havent checked the bias yet.. a couple of guys have mentioned that they are all over the place and should be checked. A bunch of tones to be had in this head.

This amp will do 80's/90's thrash and some more without a pedal.
I am loving mine.

Can you please give me some settings for this to start with? I have my Abominable Hellmouth ready to go!

I so wanted one at that price, but reluctant because I'm not a fan of Ebay. I called up MF and because the eBay seller is an authorized Marshall dealer, price matched! I placed my order. Only downside is that MF expects to get more in stock in April. I can wait.

I biased the amp tonight.. one side was higher than the other.. set both at 70 each and I'm good to go. Excellent sounding amp! and a great addition to my wizard.

I heard MF really aren't getting anymore, even though they keep telling their customers they are.

Oh stop it. You know damn well you ordered 2 of them.
Just can't help yourself. You sir .... are the original Gear Whore.
And proud to call you my idol.

With all these flooding the market at $1k I wonder what used prices will be. $750-$800?

$550-600 would be my guess once all the fuss has died oot
