I've been wanting a tele style guitar with Buckers(at least one in the bridge) for a long time now, and after falling in love with the feel/tone of my G&L this summer I am drawn to the ASAT Deluxe. Does anyone here have one? If so, how do they compare with others such as Anderson Cobra, Suhr, Carvin, etc? FWIW I did play a NAMM Cobra at a shop in WI last year and loved it. It was solid and like someone said in another thread, it seemed to relate as much to an LP as a tele. Is the G&L similar? Oh, and do they make em with maple fingerboards?

I had one that had a maple board with a 3 bolt neck that was exactley like Cantrell's ASAT, they are heavy fuckers, mine weighed like 12 pounds, no wonder Cantrell does not take his on the road with him. It is very much like a Les Paul tone wise.

Damn! I never thought they'd be that heavy. I really want to check one out. You happen to remember what neck scale was? They don't list it on the gl site.
