This sounds like an odd mix but it sounds great with my Morris. Am I the only one who has tried this around here?

I like it slightly better than the GT-75/V30 pairing and MUCH better than the G12h30/V30.
It allows me to take full advantage of the mid control and I end up with a really fat sound that never gets "honky" or overly bright.

I'm going to stick with this mix until my Weber Pre Rola 25's get here.

interesting.

I would think the H30 would be a LOT louder than the T75.

...and I would think that combination yield lots of lowend, maybe too much(?)

It is indeed louder, but no more discrepancy than that of the 75/V30.
What I like about it is the 75 smooths out the "grit" in the high end of the H30. The 75 adds a bit of character without being a major component of the overall sound....if that makes sense.

I don't notice any excessive low end at practice volumes. I will be trying gig volumes on Sunday, so that may change.

I guess it should be noted that my amp could be described as a hot rodded Plexi. I for sure wouldn't use this with a modern high gainer. The tone I chase is akin to Def Leppard's High N' Dry for example.

So the cab will be 60 watts then.....are you just running a 50 watter into it?

For the style you mentioned, that pairing should workout. Unless the highs from the 30 don't jive well with the highs from the 75...You'll find out when you play full tilt.

Yeah, it's a 50 watt head. I don't find 75's bright all like most people.

I don't find them bright either, they just have a certain sounding highend that people dislike.
I like 75's, my 2x12 with V30's sounded dark and boxy. It needed some tighter lowend and highend sizzle, so I added a 75. Instant success.
I was able to work around the efficency difference because my 2x12 has the speaker holes cut staggard. One is higher than the other. So the 75 went in the higher spot and the V30 stayed in the lower cut out. So the volume perception is even.

Interesting mix. Been a while since I had G12T-75 speakers, kind of wish I had one to test it out...

I think the G12T-75's get a bad rap. I think they're better than a lot of people give them credit for these days.
