G12K100 question

I understand the general consensus is that the G12K100 isn't the best choice for rear-loaded cabs. Is this only if one is intending to fully load the rear loaded cab w/G12K100's? I ask because I also understand the G12K100 to basically be an improved 75. The Uber cab, which everyone raves about, is rear-loaded with 75's and V30's in X-Pattern. So in theory wouldn't a combo of G12K100's & V30's loaded in X-Pattern work well too? Has anyone tried this?

I can only tell you what Peter S. told me and he said the G12K100 didn't sound good in a rear loaded cab.
