G12k85 mix with what in 4x12???

I have a pair of G12K85s but yet to do anything with them...my 'vintage' 4x12 currantly sports WGS Green Beret and ET-65.....which of these would go best with the G12K85s and what kind of tonal change am I going to see?

Unless you start smoking carpet remnants, I doubt you are going to "see" any tonal change. ;)
 
V30s man. They sound great! Be like a Bogner Uberkab. They really mix well w/ the V30s, and really fill out the tone! :)

Well..I'm no fan of G12T75s...assuming the G12K85s sounded much better...

Right. The K85 is a better sounding T75...with much better low end, more present mid-range...and the fizz most ppl dislike is gone. Uberkab meaning...it will bring the thunder! :)

I just found 4 of these k85's locally im going to pick up this week. Im gonna load them in a older Deizel cab I have and see how they sound. The other guitarist in my band has an older Hiwatt cab he made when working for Hiwatt here in Modesto in the mid 80's, loaded with these speakers and it sounds amazing. Ill report back after I load them in if anyone is intersted...
 
I mix mine ~ Vintage 30 / Greenbacks / H30 / 85 ..... the four make a great sound together. I use a pair of each.
