Yes, he does. Watched it several times in the past. Still my hero, and I'm a metal guy.

yeah, I am a rock/hard rock guy, and I love Gary Moore, that dude is the king of power blues!

Not many players have ever played with as much feeling as Gary. I remember grabbing Victims when I was 16..and I was blown away at how great he was. I got goosebumps when I heard the lead on the title track.
RIP

Yep. Wicked or gentle, primo feeling. His last album is rippin' stellar, too.

That's the album that changed my life!

I’m way late to the party. Didn’t really pay much attention to him until about 6 months ago. Now he’s my favorite guitarist. Been listening to his first three albums nonstop. Guy plays like someone has a gun to to his head, like his life depends on it. Most intense guitarist I’ve ever heard. Bar none. Any genre. Can’t believe I’ve missed out on him for so long.

I think I remember Randy Rhoads saying he was a fan in an interview so I ran out and bought Corridors of Power but yeah it was Victims that really got me hooked.

my Dad had After Hours on in the car one day and that was it, I was totally hooked. His playing on Cold Day in Hell is off the charts and his sound was just epic, Back to the blues runs a close second but after hours tops it for me.

I was fortunate enough to see him play in Liverpool, man he could make that 335 cry!!

Ozzy actually wanted Gary before hiring Randy. True story. Gary turned it down.

I've also heard that it was because Sharon liked Randy's looks better. But the connection was there all the same.

Liked the Rock/Metal Gary era better...I'm so worn out of the traditional blues bs, stifles the instrument and creativity IMO......great players feel they have to "evolve" to end up there and it's just boring as fuck and they end up being being the same old vanilla bs. Mixing it with rock/hard rock/metal...yeah nice ingredient in the recipe but the 12 bar blues traditional blues shit is TIRED and it's stifling the growth and interest in the instrument IMO....all while calling itself "proper".

Agreed. Gary's best albums were the hard rock stuff. Loved his blues, but the real shredder Gary was, is really unknown to alot of people.

He played the blues like nobody else, however. But, it did get stale. Just like Bonamassa. Great player, but now stale. Gary's rock/and hard rock stuff never got boring. I used to count the days, waiting for a new album!

I've always thought Gary put that album out to capitalize on the popularity of SRV a bit, in that he would be exposed to more fans....and I think it worked. He became way more known after the blues CD.
But I agree....his Hard Rock albums are the best, and most inspirational to me.

Agreed on the Rocker Gary vs Blues Gary. People have bills to pay and he probably knew he could make way more money at the time playing blues. And it also fits an aging man better in some ways.

I loved his metal/rock days - almost no one plays with that much fire/feel/conviction all at once.. always tasty too.
I didn't mind his blues stuff, but...

I was introduced to him back when Vivian Campbell mentioned him as an influence during the first Dio tour... I think Viv borrowed the majority of his licks/style form Gary (he was more than an influence in ya, Viv - that said, I love Viv as a player as well)

VOTF...so good. And the tone he got on both the red strat and the LP were just amazing.
