Really wanting one. Thinking about selling an amp to fund, curious about using the EHX .44 mag to power it until I can play a gig or two to fund a powered cab.

Anyone used the .44 with it? Also, anyone used just a powered PA monitor? What are you using?

I use a Matrix GT1000 for gigs but use the 44mag for rehearsal and it sounds good. It's loud as hell. I run it through a Mesa cab. I tried a few powered PA monitors and didn't care for it. Much prefer a guitar cab with cab sims off.

Mateim gm50 into a 2x12 wired for 4ohm 400 watt. Sounds great. The newest firmware was another major step forward. Loving it lately.

I used it with a power amp and regular monitors. It did sound pretty good but I really wanted a nice FRFR to go with it. If you do get one Id say definitely try to get an extra $600 for a used ASM or QSC.

It's a really convenient piece of gear and sounds good/records excellent IMO but I couldn't afford the FRFR without selling something. I only have one stack and the stack stayed because it just sounded better and I wasn't willing to part with it.

I have been using a 44 Magnum for something quick and easy to carry with a 2x12. It is shocking how loud it gets. I just bought a second one from SkyhighRocks so I can use it stereo if I just want to bring my AX8 and a a couple of Blackstar 1x12 cabs that I got in a trade awhile back (basically free). I have been meeting up with a couple of guys for a jam 2-3 times a month. The 1x12s are easier to get in and out of my Mustang and I like the stereo sound.

In my rack - which I use for a cover band that I sit in with - I have a Rocktron Velocity 300. It has been great but overkill for a little jam session.

I didn't like the Magnum 44 with the AX8. I much prefer the Quilter Mini 101 for a small grab and go power amp.

Truth. I updated to the Q6.00 BETA yesterday afternoon and took it for a spin last night at rehearsal. Man did it sound good.
