You can use a RJM RG16 and have 8 loops and 8 channel switching capability and Tuner out.

I had 2 GCX and sold them. You have to put a patch cable between each loop and from loop 4-5 a long patch cable. You do not need all the extra loop patches with an RJM RG-16. Get an RJM cable for the amp and set up is simple. select your midi channel and all you have to do on the rg16 is push the write button for 3 sec and the leds will blink and your done. also has buttons on the front so you can select on the fly or try different setups with out going into midi programing like on the GCX.

I would look into RJM. If you didnt want the RJM the RJM mini amp gizmo will do the same thing.

mini effect gizmo looks like the guy actually, so I would then get a midi pedal and that would program the changes?? I have ahad a jmp set up before but that was a little different

A quick look at the Front and back. If you are going to have pedals and amp switching with out tap dancing I suggest this.

thing is I need foot access to my pedals to switch presets and tap tempos in, I cant use rack gear because of this, unless there is a solution I dont know of

They make a tap tempo button for the ground control pro, MFC101 and liquid foot pro. Check out Mission pedals. Not sure of the web address just google it.

the goatkeeper and the empress delay do not have tap tempo in, looks like the mini effect by rjm is the guy just have to make sure on the channel switching

just got off the phone with Ron who was great at rjm, I would need mini effect gizmo, mac 2, and controller, hmm still to complicated for right now.

too bad these boxes arent smaller so they can fit on my board

bolt it on the back grill or the cab

I would be running tons of cabling back and forth, just spend like $400 on cabling, looks like I am sticking with a the custom TBL I have

I did this with my Mark V and created a custom snake to do all of the functions. Works fine with a Rocktron All Access and GCX.

now that I am searching there are tons of options, just not a lot with amp switching.
