I'm making a trip back out to SF Chinatown in a few months and will be rehearsing/auditioning for a project. I want to take my 4 space SKB rack with Egnater M4, Gmajor2, and Furman. I have never attempted such a feat. Could I get away with a 4 space rack as carry on? I wouldn't even consider checking an SKB. Will I get cavity searched for attempting travel with vacuum tubes?
Amps will be available for rent (Marshall Silver Jubilee or a 900) at the rehearsal studio for like $25 for the session. Les Paul and Orange 2x12 with v30's will be provided by the other guitarist. I can do the session with the rental I'm sure but I'd much rather have the flexibility and tonal superiority.
