Was 4 hours of glory.
Nuno, Zakk, Steve Vai, Yngwie.

All of them sounded killer. I had front row and got some cool Yngwie footage. I grew up listening to him and I still love him. I caught his pick...I posted a quick vid of the pic on my yt. The guy is just something else.

I have a handful of vids on my yt but here's one to post here. If you guys get a chance, it is an amazing show!

Very cool. Did he have any amp problems? I saw this your last year and Yngwie kept having to delay the show because of his amps.

I've seen him about 6 or 7 times in the last 25 years. Even if he's not really inspired lately, I agree he's still on another level compared to all the others.

No, neither him or any of the others had audio issues.
It's funny because stage right is nuno and Zakk with 2 or 3 marshalls, Vai has his 2 legacy heads, and Yngwie has his whole side of stage left in Marshalls. Gotta love Yngwie. lol

I hear ya, he is definitely unique in his own way. I know people bash him for all his Yngwie moves and such...but I welcome his showmanship...after all, besides his playing, its also entertainment right?

Nice... never been a big fan only because the style eventually wears on me (gets old) but there's no denying the guy inspired a generation (or more) of players post-EVH and when you hear Yngwie, you know it's him. I have yet to hear any of the clones (or outright copycats) with the same timbre/tone and technique.

Nice, I have front row tickets, VIP meet and greet to the show here in Austin, in a few weeks, can't wait, should be pretty badass!

I saw it a couple years back, killer show. Experience Hendrix is really cool too.

I remember seeing the hendrix one back in 06 I think.
This was alot of fun. I'm definitely going for now on.

I’ve seen Yngwie a lot of times.

One time in the mid 1990’s he played a small club in North New Jersey. There were maybe 15 people there. Yngwie took requests. Some requests he played outright, some he played the main riffs. I do remember it being louder than any other Yngwie show.

I remember another time some dude was flipping him off and Yngwie jumped off the stage in mid-song (guitar in hand) and started fighting. Then jumped back on stage and continued playing. lol

Thanks for posting this! Damn that's playing guitar period like it or not. It's like a drug I guess when you work at it like that and then its perfected, u cant just stop. Phenomenal moves and playing.

Amazing man.
He really is a showman for sure
I still don’t know how he manages to stay in tune!
Must play with super light touch. Every time I played a strat no locking system I bent the strings
Sharp or flat. Just plain out of tune.
Good stuff brother. Thanks for posting

Yup, he still did his thing at the height of the short lived grunge years...., gotta respect that, he didn't give a fuck. I remember the reading about the show in Brazil right after September 11 attacks, he played the Star Spangled Banner and the crowd was shouting OSAMA OSAMA.....he got so pissed, went out and played it AGAIN and the crowd was "Osama" again.....he went out and told the crowd "God Bless America, and Fuck you all!" and walked off the stage. Pretty fucking awesome.

Back in Sept. I brought one of my dream guitars, a YJM strat. Because of the whole neck being scalloped, and in Eb tuning with 9's, his set is actually a 9 hybrid, playing is both imo, lighter in the touch but with caution.

He's moat likely so used to it, it's Second nature, I'm getting more and more comfortable with it. Press too hard, and the pitch is off.

Awesome! I've never gotten to see him, as I'm always playing.

I agree with you guys, he's on another level that only a small few will ever be on ( like Vai). The guitar really is a part of him. None of the guys who studied him ever got that little thing that defines him in a generation of clones.

This isn't my video but it's was one of the nights highlights. Just something that gives the chills when you watch it. They did a great job. Gotta see this.

. Got tix go that one in South Florida.
That should be cool this year.

The guy is a walking clichè but how can you not love Yngwie ???
The ultimate posing shredder and I wouldn't want him any other way.

I saw YJM live for the first time back in September.

30 Marshall heads and at least 20 cabs. The band is shoved into a corner of the stage the size of an apartment kitchen.

The man is an absolute beast at what he does. I've always loved his authority on the instrument, and that huge vibrato.

I was bored to tears after 10 minutes. I could not wait for that show (ie the one long e minor scale) to be over. JFC.

I've seen Yngwie about half a dozen times over the last 30 years. I saw him in Atlanta just a couple moths back and thought was great.

I just picked up a pair of tickets for this Saturday night (Dec 8, 2018) in Atlanta...should be awesome.
