George Bellas Tone?

He gets a lot of chirp in his tone and it appears to be the pick angle he uses or perhaps he's using a thin pick or something. I've tried replicating his sound but to play that fast using a steep pick angle sounds really dull and hard to clearly sound out all the notes in fast runs so maybe he's using a pointed pick tip or something.

I've read that he uses JCM 900's. That percussive pick sound seems to be quite present in 5881 tubes so maybe that makes sense. I don't know. Anyone know how George sets his rig?
 
i got mto hang with George at the Uli Roth Sky academy a few years backs. He's gear was real simple..stock JCM800 reissue > Ibanez tube Screamer > 57 USAReissue strat with Dimarazio HS-3's. He plays the red small dunlup jazz picks.
