Hello, I have an old Kay (Charvel Star Copy) electric guitar, single humbucker in the bridge, fender style tremolo, 1 volume and 1 tone control and I still have the original neck which is like a fender strat neck 21-fret, maple neck & fingerboard and has the regular nut not a floyd rose type locking nut but the luthier I sent the guitar off to to get painted said that when he was taking the old masking tape off the neck the frets and dot markers started pulling off. Now it's not his fault as the tape has been on there for years. Long story short, buddy years ago primered the guitar to paint it as well and he passed away so I never got around to having it painted and put back together until now.
Anyway, I measured the neck pocket before giving it to the luthier and it's approximately
2 1/8" to 2 3/16" wide by 3 1/8" deep with a 4 bolt pattern. I found someone who has a Jackson Dinky 24 Fret Reverse Headstock neck that he believes is from a Jackson JS30 model guitar. He said it's 25.5" scale, fret dots(no shark inlays), does not include tuners or hardware. Is this a 4 bolt pattern neck and do you guys think my luthier will have any problems putting this neck on my guitar?
