Title says it all. Will use it for an alt. rock band I'm starting up. Can hit it with boosts and such, but I want that Vox overdrive sound. Roll off on volume for cleans.
Yeah, I know. The issue is that this isn't my main focus. I need a high gainer for my metal band. I want this amp for the alt. rock stuff I do on the side.tbdmlog":tomxz1js said:you should try to scrape up the money and buy an ac30. its worth it.![]()

I think it is. He might use a dirt pedal to push the amp though. I love his sound, particularly in this live performance.

all these pedals get a pretty good ac30 sounds through a decent clean channel. The peavey classic series plus these pedals is a killer on the cheap rig IMO. I have a ac30 myself but could def get away with this if I had to.

That's interesting..Mudder":3sg9t1el said:How cheap is cheap? You can find a MIC AC30cc for about $500 or so used. For a bit more you can probably find a Dr Z Carmen Ghia. A friend of mine says his Bugera V-22 cops the AC tones pretty good.
