Never heard of the guy. Watched the video. What a complete weirdo. If you are that competent on the guitar and can learn all this stuff, how hard would it be to tweak things and make your own. Most insane thing I’ve seen, just playing another persons solos note for note. He’s probably a sociopath or something.

Makes no sense unless one's completely-oblivious as to how things work... or an outright thief.

To be honest though, it’s also amazing that people could just watch that solo and realise it was that Gardiner guys stuff. It’s not like ripping off the California hotel solo. There’s a lot of notes in there. lol.

Oh. lol. Shit that makes more sense. Now that I think about it, that one with the side by side of him playing the other guys solo should have been pretty obvious to me.

@Monkey Man and @Eazy-ESP i explained all this bullshit in my thread about this fucker a week ago but to sum it up

1. It's not JUST that he steals peoples solos/music, that's the obvious part
2. He fakes his guitar playing, and it's obvious if you've spent enough time doing digital recording. Watch any clip of him doing one of his "chromatic sounding funk solos" and listen to the transient sound. He's obviously recorded it at half or 3/4 speed and sped up the recording, and then mimed along to it. There's other bullshit he does, but you can go look at that thread for that info.
3. Watch his actual live videos, such as the jam with dovydas or any of his namm stuff. Wow, it's like he's a completely different player, crazy right?
4. If you don't believe me, believe rick beato. He had him on his channel and recorded a video 3 months ago, and never put the video out because Giacomo literally isn't a good enough player to be on his channel. Beato's words, not mine.

Yeah, in my thread I go super deep into this bullshit, but basically everyone just buys that what they hear their favorite youtubers and influencers "playing"

They just believe this shit without a second thought, because who would fake it right? Like in the old days, you'd get caught.

Well it's not the old days. This jerkoff got millions of dollars, endorsement deals, signature guitars, free shit out the wazoo, and he can barely play his way out of a wet paper bag.

The only reason he got "caught" is because he was stupid enough to steal from other famous people who could call him out.

He isn't the only one, either. This is one of the reasons it drives me nuts when people post some youtuber who's AmAzInG aT GuITaR and I mock it incessantly and everyone thinks i'm a curmudgeon. Because i've literally engineered records for 25 years, I know what the tell-tale signs are of this type of fakery, and all of the modern guitar heros are full of shit.

It's an entirely different world we live in. And older folks are wise to other cons, but not wise to these new technological cons, and young folks (like always) are naive to all of them.

It's the same sort of thing as people believing EVHs superlead on the first couple albums is modded. It's part of their belief system, no matter how retarded it is.

Same thing with the people who think Berried Alive actually plays his beep boop mario music bullshit. As someone with a DAW that's used a killswitch before, I can assure you, while he might be a good player, he can't do that LMFAO

Oh yeah I’ve seen that guy. To be honest the music got too tiring and non human for me to give a chance anyway.

The man above, Paul Gilbert, to me is the absolute limit of that kind of thing for me. He was ridiculously clean and at the absolute pinnacle of that technical playing. But him and a few others, at least retained enough human feel and made some fun music.

These guys today, fake or not, just don’t make inspiring music.

These companies (ESPECIALLY SMALL ONES) give out free gear, signature series, sponsorships, etc to all these social media fuckbag fakers who can't even play guitar, and there's literally MILLIONS of guys in the trenches playing in bands who would die to even get a taste of that action.

I hate that I've been sort of following this whole mess but I guess its like a car wreck. However, I saw a video yesterday with this bassist (can't remember his name) who does these wild slapping videos where he plays all the parts to a song on his bass. Apparently HE is not faking, so, whatever...but this bassist was explaining that he did a "collab" with this Gackoffomo guy where they rented a studio and filmed some kind of "slapping" video. My question is, how do these guys NOT know one or the other is a fake player? Are they all faking? Is everything sped up and/or have filters added to make things not what they appear? My faith in semi-fake/maybe all-fake youtube videos is at an all-time low!
