I looked at his listing he has disabled the ask a question function so that only questions such as shipping payment etc can be asked , you cannot ask a question about the spec of the guitar . so...
does the seller expect someone to commit to buying before agreeing the spec of the guitar
also his feedback doesnt show any transactions for guitars he has built....

Ask a question > other > continue > ask whatever you want.

Works just fine.
 
Yeah I asked him, he has a facebook page: buildaburst

He is trying to get a batch produced and sold (something like 10-20 guitars)

No website yet...

Those flamed tops looked absolutely insane!
 
I have dealt with him on Ebay, and he seems to be straight up and honest. Agreed on the "asking a question" thing, too. Just use "OTHER", and you can ask whatever you want to ask.

did you actually try to ask him a question

just tried the function again and it still doesent work ... it gives this reply

just tried the OTHER again and it still doesent work ? maybe its just a glitch my end ,does seem a bit odd though

I got to the box where you type your question and stopped. Maybe it is the UK ip address?
 
How does he not get sued by Gibson? Does he not put the logo on the headstock?
 
Looks great. I hope for him the corporate aholes at Gibson leave him alone.
 
I don't know anything about the guy, but 3K seems a little too cheap for a good '59 replica.
 
These look killer, I have reached out to him and invited him to come on Rig-Talk and say hello. We will see. I am loving his shop and his methods. Might be onto something here!

Well, it is a REPLICA, therefore it should have the Gibson logo. That one guy with the hat, Slash has one*....Gibson even copied it.






*(not this brand, but a replica nonetheless)
 
i think this looks awesome. I would want it to have the gibson logo if I bought it. And it is a decent price as gibson would charge a crazy high price for a r9 with a top like that + brazillian board etc, not to mention but follwing some lp build threads and some of those guys come alot closer to a real 59 then gibson does.
