Treble - mid - bass?

It sounds like it has a lot of high end. I've heard it called trebly but I has a nice bit of bass to it too.

Not sure how to describe it.

The high end is that trademark ceramic sizzle. They have a pretty tight low end. The originals are definately more organic than the reissues. I've always said that they are one trick ponies. But that pony is a show winner.

Abrasive, peaky, and super open sounding when you get things up in volume. Pretty good cleans and taper to it in my opinion. It can be a bit too bassy but you can dial that out with the height and pole peices.

John Sykes. That’s how I’d describe them. I’m talking about the old ones. They sound huge and I think all the frequencies are equally represented. They can be bright for sure, but they cut in a mix.

The vintage DF’s have a full low end, growling low mids, and a nice high end sizzle. It’s a dark, sinister sounding pickup with a great, bouncy feel. They definitely have mojo that newer pickups can’t touch.
