Gibson Flying V and Explorer - Room for EMG 9V battery?

Hi,

Looks like the EMG solderless set pots are bigger in size than the old style soldered ones and therefore fitting the 9V battery into the Explorer’s rear control cavity is not possible anymore. Anyone tested this? How about fitting the 9V battery under Flying V’s pickguard, is there enough room for it?
