Can anyone tell me the difference between the Les Paul Axcess and the Traditional Pro II with floyd?

Just checked and the traditional pro II has a boost built in and the axcess also has tummy cut along with the contoured heel. Might have different pickups but not sure

Thanks for the info guys! As long as one or the other is not complete junk lol

The neck profile is different too. Trad has a thinner, smaller neck profile. My Axcess's both have a bigger neck top to bottom and thicker front to back.

I love the Axcess! Awesome guitar! I have the Lifeson version and it is my main one now!

The Axcess is the perfect guitar to me. Les Pauls are it for me for tone and feel. Enter the contoured heel for upper fret access and the trem for the 80s stuff my band does and it is now my main guitar.

I almost feel the same way. I love mine (Les Paul with Floyd? Awesome lol) but I wish the neck were just a little bit less chunky.

I've had them both and the Axcess stayed. Have two of them actually, including the rare gold top pictured below. My only complaint about the Axcess is that I wish it had normal body thickness like the Trad Pro but without the push/pull/boost/battery stuff that the Trad Pro has. But otherwise they are pretty sweet.

Anyone in here had an LP routed for a Floyd? I can't just buy an Axcess or Trad with the Floyd because I play 7 strings. But these 7-string LPs have become my favs, and I'm toying with the idea of having one routed for a Floyd. Not sure if it'll work out well, particularly because of all the weight relief that's cut out of the body.

Wow, that is awesome. I didn't know they did a GT Axcess. Is that a Custom?
I have a GT Traditional that plays and sounds great but doesn't get much use these days. It's pretty heavy and I need the Floyd a lot in my band. I have thought about selling it to help fund another Axcess, but man I just love GTs.

I got the GT second hand but it must have been a custom order by someone because no, they don't make a GT Axcess. Diamond inlays and ebony fret board too. They make a Les Paul Custom GT with Floyd (richlite fret board, no tummy cut, etc.) which is similar but it's not an Axcess. And it's not cheap either. Dave's Guitar had a few used ones last month which were still over $3K.

I ended up going with a traditional. Got an ok price on one. The Axcess is too expensive for me at this point. thanks for all the info here!

Cool. Where does one find one of these? Aren't they discontinued?

One popped up on reverb so I made an offer.

I've never done it, nor played one that's had it done. But I've read at different points in time that the hardest part is that the neck angle of a Les Paul makes the bridge stick out pretty far from the body.
