I have 2 Les Paul Classics one I bought mid 90's and other one I bought early 2000 I love the slim feel to the necks on the classics, are their any other models that have the same specs? I played a standard before but the neck was a lot fatter! What about customs? or are the classics the only model that has slim style neck?? Thanks!

It's called a 60s slim neck, and there are a ton of LPs that have them.....almost every single line they sell they offer in either 50s or 60s. When you check out specs on a site look for the neck size....as far as customs go, older silverbursts are known for having pretty thin necks as well. Good luck man.

The newest Standards have a slim profile (they are no longer chambered either). The Traditionals have the fat 50's neck. Customs vary but usually have huge necks.

Yeah, but do the new standards still have the awful PCB pots and locking Neutrik jack?.....

Yes. That's why I gutted the electronics and started over.

I love my old classics, as for customs , the early 80s customs can have a smaller neck. My 84 is pretty slim but not quite as slim as my classic.

Hey thanks for the info! I want to get another new or used les Paul im wanting a custom but the neck has to have the same specs as my classics or very close !!!!

Most '70s LPCs have a neck at least similar to the slim Classic neck.
I own a Classis Prem. Plus and a '76 LPC.

There making a little more even mix these days.

A lot of the Trad's I see tagged sometimes 50's neck and sometimes 60's neck.
