Gibson S/N check.

I've got a Gibson Les Paul Custom and I've tried to look up the S/N on several sites with no success. Maybe I'm just an idiot. Regardless, could someone give me a sanity check and tell me if I'm thinking correctly.

CS 602063

Is my guitar a Custom Shop, 2016 made in Nashville #2063

or

Custom Shop, 2006, Nashville #2063

Gibson would have to verify from their records, the decoders i have found say these serials indicate either 06 or 16, going forwar i guess it could even be 26 and so on... That said I think I found your guitar listed in the past by music zoo. The Gibson badge on the selector switch cavity cover makes me think it's 2016. 2006 wouldn't have had that badge I don't think. My 2007 cs lpc doesnt...
 
Oh wow! I do believe that's mine! I bought it used and never thought to look for it online other than doing searches in S/N references.

Unfortunately, like you said, it doesn't state the specific year but it does claim to have an ebony fretboard. Gibson stopped using ebony in 2012 and replaced it with a richlite fretboard. They must have been incorrect about that in the advertisement because, like you said, the Gibson badge started much later than 2006 and I don't even think they ever had that badge on any of the models 2012 or earlier. It must be a 2016.
