Is this all in one pedal a good choice if I'm looking for organic tones?

I've been trying to get away from the rack thing
but getting a lot of pedals with only 1 sound and no midi control.....
is a drastic change
Is the glass nexus an option if I want organic tone, but midi control?

I love mine. I have used it for a couple years now with my Vh4 in the serial loop and it does not suck tone much at all, imo. The midi is really nice, works great for all in one switching. The effects are not that tweakable, but it seems to get me by fine. I get lost in parameter settings anyway. Under rated pedal!

I have had the Glass Nexus & Timeline for the last 4 months and love them both
It sounds Organic with no tone sucking in my opinion anyways...

I use the Glass Nexus for Chorus/Reverb cleans and Reverb/Delay for Leads and ect..
I definitely like it for what I need it for and only ended up using the Glass Nexus, The Timeline stays in the box until the day comes when I want more delay options..
The Phaser is pretty decent too...

I think the only issues with the pedal would be if the Reverb,Delay & Modulations meet your Preferences or not...
They do have a 15-day money back guarantee in case you do not like it

It is on sale right now for $51 less than what I paid for mine...

I just read that you can only use 1 effect at a time?
so its not "any or all" like the TC or eventide....?

if that's the case, I might as well have separate hooked ot the GCX...

You can use 1 Modulation effect with Reverb and or Delay or both at the same time..
Modulation effect.
Modulation effect with Reverb.
Modulation effect with Delay..
Modulation effect with Reverb & Delay at the same time..

ah ok thanks
I'm looking just for modulation, so I'd be 1 mod effect at a time

Sorry man I forgot to mention..
You can use Reverb and or Delay without Modulation also

I have and one and think it sounds pretty organic. The effects are easy to dial in. I also have a Timeline which has a built in 2 track looper. Are you guys running the Glass Nexus in the loop or out front?

I tried it in the loop but didn't like it there because modulation just better into the input. But the verb and delay sound better in the loop. If you have a clean or mid gain amp though the Nexus would be a great choice. The phaser doesn't add dirt like a Phase 90 which is cool.

My only regret with using the Nexus in the loop is I lose the ability to take advantage of the trails function...

Why is that? I could never figure out why that did not work. The delay and verb sound way better in the loop.

That is why I use it in the Loop the sound quality of the Reverb & Delay are more important to me than the Modulation's.
However I really like the Chorus/Reverb settings I have been using for my cleans..

I have mine sitting on top of my amp connected to the effects loop with 12 inch cables..
All I am using is my Amp Footswitch to engage the 2 channels on my amp and to turn the effects loop on and off for effects..

Turning the effects loop off to disable my effects eliminates the signal so no Trails function, I would have to turn the pedal off and leave the loop on in order to use it..

If you mean you it does not work on your pedal, it does not come from Damage Control enabled it didnt on mine anyways..
You have to enable it your self..
Top of Page 20 in the user manual will explain how to engage it...
