I'm getting a 72' Super Lead and have Dave max it out! I'm doin the triple mod; Brown Eye, Custom 45 and Hairy Brown Eye. I've been listening those clips and diggin them I love the tone of the Custom 45.

So this amp has a funky mod, I'm gonna have Dave clear it out and go to town, I'm also going for the extra thing, having the rotary knob on the front, the rear knob thing ain't my trip. I am so excited.

My 71's with the Brown Eye, won't touch this badboy for love or money, perfect amp!

GREAT CHOICE,man!!! i've got a "Purple" plexi-clone ptp amp that's at dave's shop, right now, getting the Custom 45 mod added to it.i had it originally modded with the Brown Eye & Hairy Brown Eye mods, but once i heard that C45 lead tone in friedman's "clip",i had to have that mod too!!! cant wait to get it back

...here's another great "clip" of the Custom 45 tone in the Blankenship Amp,which was designed by dave, also:

Oh man I went to pick up the amp from the craigslist ad and it was dead! So the dude is taking to his amp guy in the morning to have him see what's wrong. The guy said it has been working so he's not sure, he seems very honest so I don't doubt it will work out.

We play the clip of the 3 mods 10 times a day in the studio, everyone goes crazy when the Hairy Brown Eye kicks it at the end.

This guy has a 74'

but it looks a little haggard, I'm gonna wait and see if the 72 is gonna be ok.

That was my Blankenship Custom 45 at one point. That was a Steve Stevens mod Dave did for me in that amp. It wasn't a stock Custom 45, also had a depth knob on the back and effects loop.

interesting...didnt know that! LOVE the amp's tone, however  .......................why'd ya sell it?

i hear ya...i've tried out plenty "just for the hell of it",myself, and regretted selling a few  ...i've had 50-watter JMP's,also, and seem to prefer the 100-watters due to the "less compression/more open-ness" factor, among other things...both GREAT amps, though, just a little different from each other

I think I'm getting an amp tomorrow for the triple mod, a 72' JMP MK II Super Lead 100w Head. It's been re-tolexed, which kind of sucks but the guy said it was done really well and looks cool, we'll see.

The other head deal died the guy flaked out and never called me back... F*kker!

It almost hurts to mod it it sounds so f*kkin good already. The guys was in tears while I was playing it, he owned it for 25 years.

Just talked to Dave, we're gonna restore it to original looking tolex.

Anticipation is making me wait....

Soooon

Dave said it's a 77' not a 72'. I can't wait to get it back.

And it looks perfect and a hand made slip cover to boot.
