I love my USA Charvel So Cal Pro-Mod and I have been wanting another Super Strat with a rosewood board. I got my USA Charvel pro-mod for like 850 bux new on clearance and it like one of the best playing and sound axes I own.

The Spalwn SS guitars look pretty killer with sweet specs and are more reasonably priced than some of the all the other super strat brands around that are like $2700. Not to mention that Scott is a great person to deal with.

Anyway, I'm in the process of spec'ing out one with Slime Green Alder body, rosewood board, 6100's, Floyd Rose. d-Tuna JB in the bridge and a single coil route in the neck with a Duncan classic stack +...

I think it will SMOKE...

Any Splawn guitar owners/players here...???

I owned a SPlawn guitar about 12 years ago or so. It was pretty cool and I dug it but moved it on over time. i think they make some good stuff. Its funny, I just got this guitar and it seems it is pretty close to your spec ha.

I have an SS2. I had to drop it off with my tech this morning. Im frustrated with mine but I think I will finally have the guitar I was hoping for when it returns. Out of the box the guitar played really well but had all kinds of buzzing issues and I had to have it set up again. When I got it back the buzzing was gone but the guitar played like it had 12 gauge strings on it and I use 9s.

You can hear the buzzing in this clip I made when I first got it :

Here's a dirty clip :

Guitar plays like butter if its set up correctly. Im frustrated with mine and second guessing if I should have bought another Charvel Music Zoo instead. I'll know for sure in a few weeks !

WOW !!!

You read my mind...

Looks BAD ASSSSSSSSSS!!!

Not a rosewood board, but here's my So Cal. Stock Tone Zone bridge (don't know why but I love this pickup in this guitar) and a Dimarzio Fast Track 1 in the neck. The pickups are a bit unbalanced, but clean the Fast Track may be the closest thing I've ever heard to an unplugged electric tone, if that makes any sense. I've wanted a guitar with this pickup configuration since about 1987, and finally made it happen.
